EDITORS NOTE: A few hours ago, this post was a “review” of an offering by a company named Global Verge/Buzzirk. The post has been live since September 3rd and is now an example of a “post that got away…”

Having never heard of Buzzirk before this post was made by a 3rd party, a quick scan of the Buzzirk site at the time while “kind of” paying attention to the video that accompanied this post registered no alarms nor triggered any “uh-oh’s.” The post was nothing new; (company brings product to Network Marketing/brings nothing to Network Marketers) and the video’s “review” was an obvious attempt to fill what appeared to be a gap in Buzzirks affiliate/rep program.

Personally, I was excited at the possibility of a one-price mobile/broadband/messaging solution as a customer and figured I would wait until they (Buzzirk) got their act together before pursuing it further.

I did not attempt to visit the Buzzirk site, nor did I search for the name in any search engines or forums at the time. (My first two of several mistakes.)

“Intriguing to think that customers will be able to use voice, text, and web services without counting their monthly minutes and all offered at one incredibly inexpensive price!” (from a Buzzirk review)

Even more intriguing to think how bad this whole deal could have become for a lot more people if guys like Troy Dooley (MLM Help Desk), Mike Papadopoulos (MLM Recruits) and Len Clements (MarketWave) and others had not kept the story live and in the public eye and continued to pressure all of the actors…

UPDATE 2- September 24:

If it seems like I’m spending a lot of time on a dead issue, frankly I am embarressed that the original post made it onto the blog in the first place. While I may not responsible for what another person says, writes or does, as the editor and publisher I have the ability to decide whether or not what someone elses says or does  appear on THIS blog.

Since the original post (a positive review/sales pitch) was given “airtime” I feel it is my obligation to let people know what’s really going on with Global Verge / Buzzirk. Since the full story has yet to be written, I will continue to update, add to and comment on the story when appropriate.

JUST ADDED | Additional Information: Len Clements has a podcast site named “MarketWave- If you go through your MLM career with blinders on, sooner or later you’re going to get blind-sided…” On it he currently has 4 pocasts with Global  Verge content; 1 of those:

Global Verge/Buzzirk Mobile. 1:18

is over an hour in length and asks more than 30 questions that he posed to Global Verge Directors. These are questions you should ask before committing to ANY MLM/Opportunity/Franchise etc.

Global Verge

It wasn’t until last night that I had any reason to give Buzzirk another thought. About every 7-10 days, I do a quick run-through the previous weeks posts, cleaning up titles, descriptions and tags and confirming that posts are in the right category. This time, I actively watched the video. (Still no alarms or spider-sense.) It was once the video finished, however, that the story became interesting. If you’ve ever watched a YouTube video, you know that once it ends you are presented with 1-15 mini-thumbnail images that roll along the bottom of the video player. Mouse over an image and you’ll get either a title, a description or both.

My mouse just happened to be sitting on an image when the video ended, and I clicked through. I had landed on a video put together by”90recruitsin90Days.com/MLMRecruits.com”. The video started, and at once had my full attention. I come from a Journalism background-one where you never publish before you check, and check again. Within a minute, I was feeling sick to my stomach. I quickly located the Buzzirk website as well as the site of zer01mobile.com- the company whose ‘technology’ Buzzirk had been contracted to promote.

Thanks to the homework that had already been done and posted at MLMRecruits.com (which I was able to easily verify), as well as Troy Dooleys blog (MLMHelpDesk.com), the real story behind Buzzirk and Zero1 became very clear, very quickly. This was a scam that could have been, if not huge, at least big, with a lot of people getting hurt.

Rather than do a re-write on what is perfectly good reporting/writing, I encourage anyone with an interest to visit these two blogs:

MLM Recruits

MLM Help Desk

“Global Verge is pushing hard to change the face of mobile and internet communications with their product line”:

1) Mobile Phones
2) No Limit Text Messaging
3) No Limit Long Distance
4) One Price Cell and Broadband Internet

“No contracts or credit checks; cell phone and broadband Internet services include unlimited voice and data, data and voice. Can there be more? Speed…”

“Intriguing to think that customers will be able to use voice, text, and web services without counting their monthly minutes and all offered at one incredibly inexpensive price!”
