Below are a few methods to make sure you won’t go broke generating traffic for your blogs or websites. With these methods, you will not need to spend even a single penny for traffic to your site…

I am confident that by now you have come across multiple ways tactics to generate traffic. But since you are still reading this the chances are good that you have never followed these methods before!

Forums, Online Communities And Social Networking Sites
One of the very best ways to get quality, targeted traffic is through forums and online communities. While  the traffic won’t always be in huge numbers, the visitors you will get will be high-quality. In online forums you’ll find many people interested in the same things you are interested in. They won’t need a lot of explanation when it comes to your products, and if you are genuine in your approach the odds of making some new friends is good as well.

In most forums you may add a signature file in your control panel. Usually 2-3 lines, your signature can be your full-time marketer. Be sure to always include your website or blog url plus a good introductory caption that will attract attention without being obnoxious. Try to stay active in the forums that you join, avoiding the “hit and run” and share your experience by answering questions and making quality posts. You’ll be pleasantly surprised at the regular, automatic traffic you can draw just by making sure to do those basics.

Placing ads on Free Classified sites
Many, many classified sites are free now, so many, many people visit these sites looking for deals or trying to sell products. Your job is to do neither. Since there will already be thousands of ads your ads will hardly get noticed. Besides, readers don’t attach much value to the newest person showing up placing ads for 15 items-there is just not a lot of credibility. But if your job was simply to use different methods to gain names and email addresses with no sales pressure, you probably could do well. Selling will be for another day, for now…build that list!

Any Comment, Senator?

Be careful when implementing this tactic! Seek out article sites or blogs that allow visitors to comment on posts, and go for it- remembering to stay low-key, take a definite side even if its not the most popular, and keep posting until you find a newerconversatio to join. You’ll be surprised how quickly you will become “known.” Below your comments, always put your website’s url in your signature! And don’t ever leave 1 sentence, boring comments…

Absolutely Free Freebies!
When using giveaways to attract traffic, try to give away products that your visitor will use or like. And keep your gifts relevant to your niche. Choose the freebies in such a way that your website will become known for those particular giveaways, and attached to the freebie. This will encourage visitors to come often looking for even more.

Have a little patience

Most importantly, have some patience. Keep in mind that you could do all of the methods mentioned and still not get traffic right away! It takes time to get traffic, just as it takes time to get indexed in the search engines, find link partners, put out some press releases… Stay consistent and positive, write as if you had an audience of thousands, and when the visitors do begin to arrive, give them more… more information, more freebies, more commentary and articles, more of your opinion. Follow that course and soon they will really be YOUR visitors.
